An app developer has been making a lot of noise about a crash on an iPhone 6 or iPad 5 that appears to be caused by a bug with the Chrome browser.
In a thread on Reddit, Reddit user Lucky Patcher posted a screenshot of the problem he was experiencing with the app and wrote:I was getting the following error: “No ContentFoundException: Error loading content:///path/to/app/chrome-plugin.json: No such file or directory”A few minutes later, Lucky Patchers Google+ account was locked, as was the account of the developer of Lucky Patches Google+ app.
The developer, who goes by the handle Lucky Patroller, claimed that the issue he was having was a bug in the Chrome plugin and not with the website.
The Reddit user claims that the app has been updated to fix the issue.
He also wrote that the bug is still present on iOS devices and that users can still access the app by searching for the app in the Google Play Store.
The app has also received the attention of Reddit users who say that Lucky Paters Facebook page was blocked as a result of the bug.
Users who have reported the issue have been left with the following message:I just got an email with this error: “Lucky patchers facebook page blocked because you have not updated to the latest version of the app”We can confirm that this issue has been fixed and that we are looking into it.
