By now, most of you have already installed the latest version of OS X Sierra, but a lot of you may have a different patch installed.
This guide will walk you through how to install the latest Yosemite patches and fix a lot common issues with your operating system.1.
If you have a recent OS X 10.10 Mountain Lion or earlier, you should update the OS X Update Utility to the latest one.2.
Follow the guide below to apply the new OS X patches.3.
When you open the OS Update Utility, make sure you select the Update tab and then click the green Update button.4.
In the OS Updates tab, click the blue button to install OS X.5.
At the OS update dialog box, select the appropriate patch and click the Install button.6.
If the update is successful, you will see the new Sierra updates appear in the Updates tab.7.
Click the green Download button to start the download.8.
Once the update has completed, you can check for updates by opening System Preferences and then clicking on Software Updates.9.
When the update appears, the Sierra updates should be available in the Software Updates tab under the Sierra Updates section.10.
You can also install the Sierra patches using the Finder and Finder History.
