Posted September 19, 2018 09:29:01 The app developer behind the popular Lucky Patchers app for iOS and Android is getting $1 million in funding from angel investors, the company announced Thursday.
Lucky Patches creator and co-founder Joon Park has partnered with AngelList, a crowdfunding platform for early-stage startups, to invest in his company, Lucky Patters, the startup said in a press release.
The funding will support Lucky Paters launch to market in 2018.
The company said in its announcement that Park will remain the chief executive officer.
Park previously founded the Korean-focused startup Yoyo and cofounded Yoyoo, a mobile payment and payment processing platform.
The startup is the latest startup to raise funding from investors.
The Lucky Patners app is an alternative to PayPal and credit card payment apps that allow users to easily buy and sell items, like watches, jewelry, cars, or even clothing.
It is compatible with iOS and is powered by the Android app.
Park said he hopes to have a version of the app available for iPhones and Android by the end of 2018.
